 For years, this small Salt Lake ristorante has been serving wonderful and affordable Italian cuisine. Their Location... Downtown East Side, 5 Blocks from our Hotels. The Atmosphere... Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you, Al Forno's buzzes with activity. It is decorated with a casual flair and while it can feel like it is a bit crowded, the small booths are perfect for two and quiet conversation. The Cuisine... Start with the Seafood Antipasto (Clams, calamari & prawns with fresh spinach in a light tomato sauce). It's delicious. More than 20 different pasta dishes are awaiting you. Freshly baked rolls served at the beginning of the meal are perfect for sopping up the flavorful sauces of the hearty dishes. The Spinach Cannelloni is rich and decadent with creamy Asiago sauce, and the Lasagna Verde with spinach and four kinds of cheese in a robust tomato sauce are two of my favorites. The popular Vitello Marsala (veal medallions with sauteed mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce) is another must try.
